The Granite State Pro Stock Series returns to the place where it all began; Claremont Speedway, April 24.The series, now in the fourth year of existence, held the inaugural event at Claremont Speedway (formerly Twin State Speedway) in August of 2011 which saw Chris Wilk of Mendon, VT fend off a late-race charge from Donnie Lashua to pick up the victory.

For “Lightning” Larry Gelinas racing is almost as important as breathing. The 30-plus-year veteran gets behind the wheel any chance he can. This year he’ll be chasing the 2015 crown in the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS), as well as throwing his name in the hat in the Late Model division at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Gelinas will also run select ACT events, and attempt to qualify for the Oxford 250. Continue reading

At the Seekonk Speedway’s DAV Memorial race, in the $5,000 to win 100 lapper Derek Ramstrom of W. Boylston moved past Dave Darling with only 4 laps remaining, and the pair raced side-by-side for the lead before the Ramstrom Service Center machine closed the door for his second career Venditti Fall Classic Championship. Darling had to settle for second, while points Champion Ken Spencer of Taunton rallied for third. Dick Houlihan of Bridgewater finished fourth with Dean Petty fifth. Ramstrom said, “This place is extremely tough to drive.If you can race here.  If you can drive this track you can race anywhere. This was a long hard battle.” Continue reading

Brad Babb held off a hard charging Jeremy Davis in a caution-riddled event to pick up his second win of the season in the Fadden General Store 100 at White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP).

With only two races remaining, the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) has seen 9 different winners in 9 races on the 2014 season. The next stop on the tour is the North Woodstock, NH facility, White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP). It will throw a wild-card in the mix to keep the streak alive, as the GSPSS will race at the ¼ mile track for the first time in the series’ short existence. Continue reading

Thrillin’ Dillon Moltz of Waterford, CT. became the newest winner for the Granite State Pro Stock Series on Sunday, which has seen 9 different winners in 9 races in the 2014 season,  The Nutmeg State driver picked up the win at Star Speedway in the NH Classic 100. Moltz started on the pole in the 16 car field and led all 100 laps, en route to his win. Continue reading
