Derek Griffith of Hudson, New Hampshire raced to his first-ever Oxford Plains Speedway victory in the 50-lap Super Late Model feature, topping the Budweiser Championship Series racing card on Ferris Mowers Night presented by Dave’s Small Engines Saturday night. Continue reading

GSPSS a washout at Riverhead, NY Claremont Speedway in NH next on Friday night August 5

The GSPSS has added two additional stops in 2016 at Wiscasset Speedway in ME and Riverhead Raceway on Long Island.

The Granite State Pro stock Series will be in action at Claremont Speedway in NH this Friday night.

A steady rain claimed the inaugural running of the Riverhead 100 for the Granite State Pro Stock Series. After inspection and practice had been completed a steady light rain began to fall, after a hour and a half delay the decision was made to postpone the event. The GSPSS will return on Saturday Aug 20th. Up next for the GSPSS will be the Bond Auto 100 This coming Friday night Aug. 5th at Claremont Speedway. Post time 7pm

Lussier and Durgan split Sportsman-Modified wins at Devil’s Bowl on Saturday night

Devil's Bowl Speedway has doubled up on the 2016 schedule for both the paved 1/2 mile and the infield dirt track in order to get all of their 2016 schedule in before the end of the current season.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway has doubled up on the 2016 schedule for both the paved 1/2 mile and the infield dirt track in order to get all of their 2016 schedule in before the end of the current season.

Billy Lussier and Jason Durgan were the stars of the show on the half-mile Asphalt Track at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, July 30, splitting twin 25-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series races.  Each driver used the outside lane to win in the Bond Auto Parts Sportsman Modified division on Community College of Vermont Night.  Other winners included Josh Masterson, Scott FitzGerald, Zach Wood, and Gerald Grant.

Andy Saunders proves he’s the boss of the Pro Stocks at Wiscasset with three wins this season

Wiscasset Speedway on the Maine coast has been a part of the Down East motorsports picture for many years.

With almost a full field of Pro Stocks in the Wiscasset Speedway pits, Andy Saunders proved that he was the best by taking his third main event for the 2016 racing season

Andy Saunders is the kind of boss that everyone wants. Why? He shows people how the job is done and never hovers over your shoulder, as seen last Saturday night when he dominated the Boss Hogg 100 with over a 5-second lead. Driving the #01 from Ellsworth, Saunders is doing more than just leading by example in the Pro Stocks. Matt Hirschman took a liking to NH’s Star Speedway the first time he raced there, and on Saturday night he won his third major event SBM 125 Modified Open in five races, this time worth $10,400 plus contingencies as the Northeast Race Cars & Parts Tri-Track Open Modified Series visited the quarter-mile oval in southern New Hampshire. Stafford Motor Speedway results

The DARE Division Championship at Stafford Motor Speedway is up for grabs at mid-season.

Hot Friday night action with a NASCAR program was on the program on Friday night at Stafford

 

 

 

 

Stafford Speedway returned to NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing action with the Mid-Season Stretch program on Friday, July 29th that saw each NASCAR Whelen All-American Series division race an extra two laps in distance.  Joining Stafford’s five NWAAS divisions in action were the Legend Cars as well the Junior Outlaws and Senior Champs from the Monday Night Wild Thing Kart Series.  Taking down feature wins on the night were Dan Avery in the 40-lap SK Modified® feature, Tom Fearn in the Late Model feature, Daniel Wesson in the SK Light feature, Al Saunders in the Ltd. Late Model division, Alexandra Fearn in the DARE Stock division, Teddy Hodgdon in the Legend Cars division, Mike Perry in the Senior Champs division, and Tyler Chapman in the Junior Outlaw division. Tri Track Series makes it’s first appearance at Star Speedway

The Granite State Pro Stocks shared the bill on Super-Modified Classic night at the Star Speedway in Epping, NH.

This entire 2016 racing season has seen a big revival of Modified racing in New England on the paved tracks.  Tonight, Saturday, the SBM 125 Tri Track Modified will go off at 6 p.m. at Star Speedway in Epping, NH with a large field of open wheel cars. Drivers and teams have to take a deep breath and think about the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour next Friday night, August 5, at the Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut followed by The Valenti Modified Racing Series on the Connecticut shoreline next Saturday night, August 6, at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s 50th season of stock car racing is primed for a jam-packed second half, as the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series prepares for a dozen races in the next six weekends.  The Rutland County facility hosts racing on its half-mile Asphalt Track on Saturday nights, and the 3/10-mile Dirt Track runs on Sunday nights.
