PAIVA HOLDS OFF MURPHY FOR SPORT TRUCKS WIN

 

After two early-race cautions, at Seekonk Speedway,  the Sport Trucks feature ran caution free from lap two through the lap 25 checkers with John Paiva coming on with one-third of the laps remaining to deprive Mike Cavallaro of the lead and rush on through the remaining eight laps to Victory Lane. Cavallaro had one lap previous deprived leading rookie on the division, Eric LeBrun of his fifteen lap stint in the lead. Continue reading →

Jay Sands of Hampton continued his impressive 2015 Late Model Sportsman campaign at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, capturing the win in the prestigious Lance Davis Memorial 50-lapper for the R & R Public Wholesale-sponsored division. It was another fine evening for racing this past Saturday at the high banks of Monadnock Speedway as the Pro 4 Modified series came to town to join with the regular Whelen All-American divisions. Track owner Larry Cirillo had Ricky Craven’s old Winston #1 racecar out for some joy laps along with a few lucky fans in the passenger seat before the festivities kicked off for the night.   Continue reading →

Two-time Valenti Modified Racing Series champion Chris Pasteryak of Jewett City, CT, dominated Saturday’s running of the ‘Oxford 100’ to become the seventh different winner in seven races at Oxford Plains Speedway, Oxford, Maine. The race was the headline event on the eve of the 42nd running of the famed ‘Oxford 250.’

Diego Monahan takes his second Sk Modified feature of the season at New London

Racing returned to the shoreline oval, with 6 divisions taking to the track, including the North East Street Stock Tour visiting for the first time.  Corey Coates was victorious in The Limited Sportsman feature. In Legends action, it was Dana DiMatteo taking the checkered flag. Corey Barry continued his hot streak and won the SK Light feature. Diego Monahan won his 2nd feature of the season in thrilling fashion in the SK Modified feature. Larry Loomis picked up his first career win in the Mini Stock feature. Continue reading →

It's taken a long time to get to the ground breaking for the North East Motorsport Museum.

It’s taken a long time to get to the ground breaking for the North East Motorsport Museum.

 

 

Groundbreaking for the North East Motor Sports Museum will be at 2 pm on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the site where the museum will be constructed. It’s just north of the Shell station on Speedway property on Rt 106 in Loudon, NH. Twelve Groundbreakers will participate.  Music will be provided by Scott Spradling’s band. Examples of every major form of New England motorsports will be on display, each of them from long ago. The free event promises to be historic and fast moving. It’s open to the public. A limited number of special souvenir glasses will be available at no cost. You are invited to this inspiring event.
