In association with the recent Racer’s Expo in Marlboro, Kart Klash V went off without a problem at F1 Indoor Kart track in Braintree. Over 70 racing competitors participated in the event on that venues indoor country road course. They included drivers, crew, officials and fans from the entire spectrum of motor sports in New England and the northeast. The competitors came form the NASCAR Modified Tour, Valenti Modified Racing Series, NEMA Midgets,Mini Stocks, ISMA Super Modifieds, Dirt Midgets, PASS Tour, Star Speedway, Seekonk Speedway,Star Speedway, road and Kart racing, DIRT Sprint Cars, Monster Trucks, Late Models, Sport Trucks, Pro 4 Modifieds, New England Street Stock Tour, ACT Tour and Hudson Speedway. Derek Ramstrom takes the DAV Memorial Pro Stock Open at Seekonk and gets the $5,000 check

At the Seekonk Speedway’s DAV Memorial race, in the $5,000 to win 100 lapper Derek Ramstrom of W. Boylston moved past Dave Darling with only 4 laps remaining, and the pair raced side-by-side for the lead before the Ramstrom Service Center machine closed the door for his second career Venditti Fall Classic Championship. Darling had to settle for second, while points Champion Ken Spencer of Taunton rallied for third. Dick Houlihan of Bridgewater finished fourth with Dean Petty fifth. Ramstrom said, “This place is extremely tough to drive.If you can race here.  If you can drive this track you can race anywhere.
