It didn’t have the dramatic finish like last weeks race at Seekonk, but it had the same result, a large vocal crowd greeting the race winner, this time fan favorite 41-year veteran Dwight Jarvis, when he exited his race car. Jarvis had just won the annual Valenti Modified Racing Series sanctioned ‘Victor Johnson Memorial 100’ and the Monadnock Speedway crowd let him know they liked what they saw. Continue reading

The largest purse of the four-race Vermont State Championship is up for grabs at the 36th annual Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road in Barre, Vermont on Sunday, August 31. We took in the Bettencourt Honda Suzuki SuperX at the Marshfield Fair. There were a lot of riders there from 8 year old kids to the old pros in their mid 40’s. In the 50 cc and over Owen Covell aboard a Cob of Plymouth took that class while Matthew Will of Halifax won the 50 cc on his KTM. Larry Fortin came all the way up from Tolland, CT to take the 65cc A/B. In the Lite Pros, Robert Marshall of Stow took that class on his KTM while Robert Marshall got to victory lane and aboard his Kawasaki. Continue reading

Two former winners and a new young gun were the first to accept invitations to the 6th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational to be held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) on Saturday, September 20, 2014.
