2014 American Canadian Tour (ACT) Champions Alex Labbe, (21 years old), of St-Albert, Quebec and Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. (Pole), (25 years old), from Hudson, New Hampshire, have both been celebrated by their peers for their championship runs last season. They now lead twenty-nine (29) teams from eight (8) different states and the province of Quebec to the New Smyrna Speedway World Series of Asphalt Racing on Sunday-Tues, February 15-17, 2015. Western New York Three Quarter (TQ) Midget standouts Andy Jankowiak of Buffalo and Erick Rudolph of Ransomville, added to their TQ Midget Indoor feature excellence Friday inside Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall when then finished first and second in the 30-lap feature after a spine tingling battle that lasted most of the race. The American Canadian Tour opener at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida will feature three nights of racing as part of the World Series of Asphalt Racing with Eddie MacDonald ready to participate in the inaugural American Racer Challenge Cup. The Cup Challenge is slated to take the green flag for two 100 lap events on Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17. The ACT cars will also be in action on Sunday, February 15 as a stand-alone 100 lap event made possible when a racing series cancelled their participation. Continue reading

Alex Labbe of St-Albert, QC was honored for his 2014 Serie ACT Championship during the annual Banquet of Champions at the Complexe des Seigneuries in St-Agapit, QC on Saturday, January 24. Labbe earned his first career Série ACT title with the help of three feature wins during the 2014 campaign. Dave Coursol of St-Jerome, QC was honored as the 2014 Série ACT Rookie of the Year. Steven Duguay of the Goulet team took home the Crew Chief of the Year honors. 200 guests were on hand for the awards ceremony, which honored the top drivers from the 2014 Série ACT season. When the green flag falls on the 44th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler on April 25-26 at Stafford Motor Speedway, the track’s premier SK Modified division will see second generation driver Mike Christopher, Jr. among its rookie crop of drivers. Christopher began the 2014 season behind the wheel of a Legend Car but he finished out the year driving the final 5 races in the track’s SK Light division. He is now making the move into the SK Modified® division where he will race against his Uncle Ted and the rest of the SK Modified field on a weekly basis with the same #82 that his father made famous to Stafford race fans. When the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour descends upon Stafford Motor Speedway on April 25-26 for the 44th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler, there will be a new driver/owner combination in the field.
