Devil’s Bowl Speedway gets more support from Central Vermont Motorcycles.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s 50th season of stock car racing just got an extra boost, as longtime marketing partner Central Vermont Motorcycles has doubled its support of the track for 2016.  Central Vermont Motorcycles will return as the title sponsor of the Late Model division on Devil’s Bowl’s half-mile Asphalt Track and also joins the 3/10-mile Dirt Track to headline the Sportsman Modified class.  Both divisions will be part of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) championship structure.

Erick Rudolph wrapped a near-perfect weekend Saturday night at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, N.J., when he won the 40-lap Battle Of Trenton TQ Midget Indoor race. The victory was his second of the three race Len Sammons Motorsports Productions VP Racing Series 2016 season and he earned his second straight Series title with the win. Continue reading

Nick Ladyga of Voluntown, Ct., Jimmy Blewett of Howell, N.J., and Ryan Susice of Ransomville, N.Y., each punched their ticket into the 40-lap Battle Of Trenton TQ Midget feature Saturday by winning 20-lap TQ Qualifier races Friday at Sun National Bank Center. Thompson Speedway’s Icebreaker the weekend of April 8-10 is a popular event which officially is the start of the oval track racing scene in New England.

 

The 42nd Annual Icebreaker, one of the most highly anticipated racing events in New England, will take place on April 8-10, featuring the first championship race of the season for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT). The Icebreaker this year has been expanded to twelve divisions of racing, and will once again include the popular Fan Appreciation party on the track on Sunday morning before the second day of races begin.

The Frank Maratta Auto Show and Race-a-Rama takes place this weekend at the Big E in W. Springfield.  The show has been  extended another day and starts Friday night from 4-8 pm and runs through Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Continue reading

Some 68 TQ Midgets have entered the Battle of Trenton this weekend 2/26-2/28.

Though the decisive struggle for the Battle Of Trenton is in Saturday night’s Three Quarter(TQ) Midget feature, Friday night’s TQ  Midget Triple 20 Qualifiers have received some added focus with the signing of a new sponsor and a unique handicapping system. The added buzz to Friday has made attending both days of this weekend’s NAPA Auto Parts/ Oliver Construction, Inc. sponsored events at Trenton’s Sun National Bank Center as not to be missed events.

The North East Street Stock Tour (NESST) community gathered Saturday, February 20, at the Raceway Restaurant to celebrate a successful 2015 season. The start-up stock cars series, which races later model Chevrolet and Ford production cars, honored it’s top 10 point-getters and special award recipients during the 2015 season.
