With a new driver sitting atop the point standings and a roster full of competitors eager to get back to racing, the Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to action this Saturday night, August 9, when the series visits the famed Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut for the 7th annual Wings and Wheels race program. The registrations for Seekonk Speedway’s 11th Annual Open Wheel Wednesday Modified Madness, this year being held on July 23, have started arriving, and up for grabs to the winner is a cool $10,000. Doug Coby of Milford, CT. was the first entry to arrive, as he will be behind the wheel of Rick Czarnecki’s #20. Doug is a two time winner of the mid-summer classic. Continue reading →

19-year old Tommy Barrett, of Millis, MA, cashed in on a lap 66 caution flag, moved to second on the restart, then passed race leader, Todd Szegedy, of Ridgefield, CT, on the final lap to win the Valenti Modified Racing Series 75-lap feature race Thursday night at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, Thompson, Connecticut.
