11th Annual Norwood Arena/New England Dragway South Reunions are set for Sunday, June 7, 2015

One of the famed Eastern Bandits, Denny Zimmerman of Connecticut, has committed to attend the 11th Annual Norwood Arena/New England Dragway South Reunions set for Sunday, June 7, at Bezema Motors on US Rt. 1 in Norwood from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. He was among three other members of that group that traveled the eastern seaboard back in the 60’s.

Midget auto racing has enjoyed a rich history in motor sports and much of that history will be shared with attendees at the 30th Annual Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2015 Presented by Sunoco Race Fuels Distributed by Insinger Performance Race Car and Trade Show. The three day show, Friday, January 23rd through Sunday, January, 25th, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA will have a large section of the 250,000 square feet of show space devoted to Midget auto racing. On Sunday, November 16th, the New England Antique Racers (NEAR), presented the 17th annual New England Auto Racers Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Conducted at Manelley’s Banquet Hall in South Windsor, CT., the HOF celebrates literally hundreds of feature victories, championships, and untold contributions to the sport of auto racing within the New England region.
