A joint announcement between the American Canadian Tour (ACT) and the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) last November came as great news throughout the short track industry, particularly in the Northeast. Principals Tom Curley (ACT) and Tom Mayberry (PASS) decided that, after a decade of competing against each other in the region, it was time to re-energize the region’s full-fendered stock car racing competitors and their fans. They formed a working alliance for the 2015 season.

Granite State Pro Stock Series begins 2015 at Thompson Speedway on April 10-12
The 2015 season is fast approaching, as the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) begins their fourth full season at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on April 10-12, and two drivers are itching to capture the first wins of their GSPSS careers.
NEMA will race at Chemung and Evans Mills in NY State
The Northeastern Midget Association announced that it has added an inaugural event at the Chemung Speedrome to its schedule for May 22, 2015. Chemung will start an action packed weekend for NEMA, with an event the following day at Evans Mills Speedway. The NEMA Midgets will run extended 30 lap races at both tracks, with the Lites running 25 Laps.
New champions program for ACT Tour US
American Canadian Tour officials have announced a New Champions Program for the ACT U.S. Tour in 2015. The program is a revival of the old New Champions point standings from the former ACT Pro Stock Tour in the 1980s and early 1990s. Continue reading
Boston’s World of Wheels at the Seaport Trade Center goes March 27-29

The World of Wheels show will make it’s local appearance at the Seaport Trade Center on Boston’s waterfront on the weekend of March 27-March 29. Sponsored by Town Fair Tire, the show will feature the cars from the FAST AND FURIOUS movies as well as TV star Emma Ross, Farmtruck and Azu, co-stars of STREET OUTLAWS and Gene Winfield’s CHOP SHOP. There also will be a Pin-Up Girl contest. Classic and Custom Cars will be a major part of the show. All will be looking for prizes such as the Ridder Awards and the Legend Cup. Continue reading
Valenti Modified Racing Series schedule for 2015
The news from the Valenti Modified Racing Series is that the tour hired Warren Alston as the Race Director for 2015. Warren was the flagman last year and brings a lot of experience to the position. Flagman John Spence, Jr, will be his backup when needed and already has two shows to do this season.
Green Mountain Sprint Car Nationals go to Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Sat., Sept.26
Sprint Car racing history will be made in Vermont as The Dirt Track at Devil’s Bowl Speedway hosts a blockbuster open-competition event – the inaugural “Green Mountain Sprint Car Nationals” – on Saturday, September 26. The new 1/3-mile clay oval is set for a showdown featuring the region’s most fearless race car drivers and their lightning-quick, winged, open-wheel machines.
