After a successful first season of the re-opened 1.7 mile road course at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP), TSMP has put together another exciting schedule for 2015.

The major event schedule will kick off with the debut of the Formula Lites that will host a two-race event at the track, May 28 – 30, 2015. This newly-launched series features cars with the very latest technology and engineering. They are powered by a 2.4-liter, 16-valve Honda engine and a six-speed gearbox with paddle shifters, and the chassis is a newly designed Carbon composite monocoque, designed and manufactured by Crawford Composites to the latest F3 FIA specs.

The Vintage Motorsports Festival will return to TSMP on June 18-21, 2015, after a successful inaugural event that saw over 220 race cars on track. This event will feature cars from throughout the past century, including formula cars, sports racers, sports cars, vintage production and more.

24 Hours of LeMons will be coming to TSMP on August 7-9, 2015 for the first time. “There Goes the Neighborhood” will be a 2-day endurance event on the 1.7 mile road course. This series has grown to be one of the largest endurance-race series in the world – with some 9000 drivers participating in its 20-25 giant endures each year. Teams compete in race-prepared cars that cost no more than US$500 (i.e., lemons) for up to 24 hours; like in folk racing, there is a price limit. These races set themselves apart from the typical road race by the unusual penalties and punishments meted out by judges.

SCCA NER will also return to the road course for two event this season, July 10-11 and October 9-10, 2015. This event will include sports cars, production cars, open wheel, and of course the ever-popular Spec Miata class, which always provides some great racing entertainment.
