MacDonald sweeps all three ACT Tour races at New Smyrna Speedway

Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA completed the sweep by winning all three American Canadian Tour events at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL. His third win in four days came on Wednesday, February 18 in the second 100-lap segment of the American Racer Challenge Cup. His two wins in the American Racer Challenge Cup segments earned him the overall Challenge Cup win. Continue reading

The American Canadian Tour roster for the events at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Florida on Sunday through Tuesday, February 15-17 features several drivers from Barre’s Thunder Road International Speedbowl. Longtime veteran of Thunder Road stock car racing, Joey Laquerre of East Montpelier earned his 14th career Late Model feature win during FairPoint Communications night on Thursday, June 5. It was the first Thunder Road Thursday night event of 2014. Laquerre held off both Shawn Fleury and Brett Gervais during multiple restarts to claim the win and move into a tie for fourth on the all-time Thunder Road Late Model wins list. Continue reading
