Bonsignore will be crowned Valanti Modified champion on Saturday night

Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville, NY and noted car owner Art Barry of Preston, CT will be honored  this Saturday night, December 6, when the Valenti Modified Racing Series crowns it’s Series Champions to officially close out the 2014 season.

The event will again be held at the Best Western Executive Court Inn, 13500 South Willow Street, Manchester, New Hampshire.

For Bonsignore, the series title is his first after competing in all 17- races. The 26-year old driver notched his first VMRS win at Plattsburgh, New York  and was consistent throughout the season with 12-top five finishes and 13-top ten finishes.

For Barry, the Hall of Fame car owner, it’s his second series title. Barry was the top car owner in 2012 with then driver Jon McKennedy.

Additionally the series top (14) drivers will be honored for the 2014 campaign. Special Awards will also be presented to competitors and officials. One is Canton’s Rick Savary who finished third overall in the VMRS point championship race.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for Saturday’s banquet with a social hour at 4:45 p.m.. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. followed by Awards at 7:30. Dancing and music by Seacoast Sound Company will follow. The 2015 VMRS (tentative) schedule will also be announced Saturday.
