Pavement Modified races in the northeast are very popular among the race fans

On the subject of of Modified Touring pavement series we’ve seen some 47 events now scheduled between early April and the Halloween Weekend at the end of October during 2020. Those events include the sanctions of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Tri Track Open Modified Series, Modified Racing Series, Opens at the Stafford Motor Speedway and Race of Champions out of central and western NY State.

We are still awaiting the anticipated announcement of the reopening of the New London-Waterford Speedbowl on the Connecticut shore-line in upcoming spring which could include a $70,000 Modified open backed by Dick Williams and the Racing Guys along with three more American Modified Racing Series promoted by engine builder Bobby Carrita out of Swansea, MA. Those four races could make it a total of 51 pavement Modified races for the race fans in New England, northeast and down south
