AUSTIN, TX (Wednesday, October 30) – Circuit of The Americas welcomes back the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix to its hallowed stars and stripes for a weekend-long celebration of the highest class of single- seater auto racing, electrifying performances from GRAMMY® Award-winning artists, a Major League Eating contest, and much more. Experience the unfiltered thrill of pure adrenaline during Formula 1 weekend, November 1-3. In addition to headlining concerts by GRAMMY® Award-winning international pop icon P!NK (Nov. 2), and GRAMMY® Award-winning bands Imagine Dragons (Nov. 1), and Kool & the Gang (Nov. 3), the American Soundtrack will showcase 30 musical acts, spanning musical genres from country to R&B and soul to indie folk. These performances are set to take place on multiple stages throughout the COTA grounds during Austin’s Formula 1 USGP weekend and showcase bands including Bright Light Social Hour, Grupo Fantastma, and Shinyribs. Before heading to P!NK’s performance, fans can experience the first-ever H-E-B True Texas BBQ Challenge at the infield between Turns 6 and 12 on Saturday, November 2 at 6 p.m. Top-ranked MLE competitors, including MLE World Champion Joey Chestnut, will competitively eat chopped brisket sandwiches from H-E-B’s True Texas BBQ chain. Another new component of this year’s race weekend is Military Outpost – a private hospit-ality space for the military community to enjoy during the Formula 1 USGP, presented through a partnership with Circuit of The Americas and the Texas Lottery. The Military Outpost will be located between Turn 18 and the Austin360 Amphitheater all weekend long. A Military ID must be shown at the entrance of the Military Outpost to gain access to the hospitality area for that person and one guest. Throughout the race weekend, COTA is enlisting Austinites who are experiencing homelessness or transitioning out of homelessness for employ- ment. COTA will employ thousands of race weekend workers, and they are partnering with Mobile Loaves & Fishes and Caritas of Austin to hire as many individuals connected to their organizations as possible for overnight janitorial jobs for the weekend. COTA will be paying workers $15/hour, organizing transportation, and providing them with meals and uniforms. Goodnight Loving Vodka was also announced as the official vodka of COTA starting this weekend during Formula 1 USGP. With this year- long partnership, Goodnight Loving Vodka will be the only vodka served at all COTA motorsports events and Austin360 Amphitheater concerts. Beginning with pure Texas artesian spring water, Goodnight Loving Vodka is filtered six times and hand-bottled at their Austin distillery. \ During Formula 1 USGP, guests will be able to purchase classic cocktails at the Goodnight Loving Vodka Gar- den in the Grand Plaza F1 Fan Zone near the Turn 15 Grandstands. With all the new initiatives surrounding the 2019 Formula 1 USGP, COTA is continuing its partnership with the Austin Independent School District (AISD) to recognize over 300 AISD counselors and therapists in the Austin area. COTA is honored to pro- vide these mental health professionals and a guest with two complementary Formula 1 USGP three-day passes in recognition of their impactful work and the true dedication they give to AISD students every day.
