ALLENTOWN, PA December 20, 2017 . . . Danny Bouc, a three time dirt Modified Stock Car feature winner at New Egypt Speedway in 2017 and the third ranked driver in season standings, has filed an entry for the Indoor Auto Racing Series fueled by VP. Bouc will be in the Three Quarter (TQ) Midget field beginning with the Ironton Telephone Allentown races on January 5-6, 2018 at the PPL Center.
Vintage racing on tap for NAPA Spring Sizzler Saturday at Stafford
(Stafford Springs, CT)—New for the 2018 NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler as well as the NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final will be the addition of Vintage racing to the Saturday portion of the race program. The Vintage All-Stars will host a 20-lap event featuring cars that thrilled race fans throughout the 70’s and 80’s. ACT appoints Knights as new Director of Competition
Waterbury, Vt. – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials announced today that Pete Knights has been appointed as the new Director of Competition for the ACT Late Model Tour. Knights will replace Dean Gallison, who stepped down from the role following the 2017 racing season after 20 years with the organization. Gallison will remain as the Director of Competition at Barre’s Thunder Road Speedbowl. Continue reading
Formula E preparing legal action as Montreal cancels race deal
Formula E is planning legal action after Montreal elected to terminate its deal to host the season-ending event of the electric car-racing series, with Mayor Valérie Plante declaring the contract represented a “financial fiasco”.
The Canadian city still has two years remaining on its three-year contract, but Plante made the announcement yesterday (Monday) after stating her administration had learned taxpayers would be liable for up to C$35m (€23.3m/$27.6m) for the second edition of the event, which was due to take place on July 28-29, 2018.
