 Historic Festival 35 Presented by the Prestige Family of Fine Cars kicks-off this afternoon!From Thursday, August 31 through Monday, September 4, it’s five days of motoring magnificence in Connecticut’s Northwest Corner ► The Race Car Parade, benefiting Lakeville’s Corner Food Pantry, rolls-off from Sam Posey Straight at 4:00 p.m. Watch the Parade from the sidewalks of beautiful “downtown” Salisbury! ► The Falls Village Street Fair & Car Show starts at 5:00 p.m., when the Parade cars park on the green ► Practice and qualifying for the 275 vintage race entrants starts Friday at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 5:30 p.m. ► There are 18 races – two for each of the nine race groups – on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ► Two of those race groups are Formula Junior open-wheelers, which is in the middle of its North American tour as owners celebrate FJ’s 60th anniversary – just like Lime Rock ► The 240-car Sunday in the Park Concours d’Elegance and 800+ car Gathering of the Marques is Sunday from 10:00 to 3:00 ► The Lime Rock-Dragone car auction is also Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to mid-afternoon, headquartered at the Infield Chalet near the Midway ► Monday, again there are 18 races from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ► Honored Guest Richard Attwood and Honored Collector Bruce Meyer are here through Monday There is so much to do and see at Lime Rock’s Historic Festival it’s impossible to list everything.
