Therrien stands tall in dominating Memorial Day Classic win at T Road

Bobby Therrien took his first Late Model win ever at Thunder Road International Speedway in Barre, VT over the weekend.  (Alan Ward photo credit.)

 

Hinesburg’s Bobby Therrien took the lead early and never looked back en route to capturing the 55th Memorial Day Classic presented by Mekkelsen RV Sales & Rental at Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday, May 28. It was the first Thunder Road Late Model victory for the multi-time American-Canadian Tour (ACT) winner.

McKiernan takes Super Stock win

  Ron Proctor has made one thing clear: The asphalt track title at Devil’s Bowl Speedway will have to go through him.  The longtime stock car driver and former two-time champion made it back-to-back wins at the Vermont track to open the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season on Saturday, May 27, taking his second dominant score in a row.  Also winning at the event were Jim McKiernan, Brad Bertrand, Connor Watrous, and Richie Turner. Dennis Spencer dominates Super Late Model 50 lapper at OPS

 

 

The Oxford 250 has been been scheduled at the Oxford Plains Speedway in July for the past 41 years. The 42nd edition will go this weekend August 28-30.

Hometown driver and former track champion Dennis Spencer proved that the home court advantage worked in his favor at OPS on Saturday night.

Young Nate Stacy takes third with Mark Klenin winning GTS Am Class

 

Rodrigo Baptista took advantage of lapped traffic to take the lead heading up the hill at Lime Rock Park and went on to take the GTS race victory by a slim margin of .178 seconds, driving Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR in Pirelli World Challenge competition.
