A stout 29-car field kicked off the 2017 American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model Stock Car Championship schedule Sunday at Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire. The race, originally scheduled for April 9th, had been postponed due to weather. Continue reading

 Monadnock Speedway opened their season with the Spring Dash presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts to a packed house despite cold weather and occasional drizzles. The season opener featured the EXIT Realty Modified Touring Series 125 and the speedway’s weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions. Continue reading

Opening day at Wiscasset rained out

 

The NEMA Midgets paid a visit to the Wiscasset Speedway over the weekend.

Wiscasset Speedway had no rain-outs since June of 2014 but  ran out of luck last Saturday, April 22.

Wiscasset Speedway has had more than it’s share of good luck when it comes to weather over the past few years. As a matter of fact, the track hadn’t lost a full program to rain since June of 2014. The luck ran out Saturday afternoon as a cold steady mist hung over the region for much of the day, forcing track management to pull the plug, sending a group of hearty race fans and drivers home without the racing fix they had waited all winter to cure. “It’s frustrating,” said track announcer/promoter, Ken Minott. Ed Flemke, Jr. and Paula Bouchard named NAPA Spring Sizzler® Grand Marshals

It's not very often that a driver like Tom Fearn can back up another  Late Model Championship after 18 years.

The Spring Sizzler is one of the top Whelen Modified Tour events in the six state New England area.

Stafford Motor Speedway has announced that Ed Flemke, Jr. and his sister Paula Bouchard will serve as Grand Marshals of the 46th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler®, April 29-30.  Flemke and his sister will give the command to send the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour field of cars on their way to the green flag in “The Greatest Race in the History of Spring.” Continue reading

Dan Wesson aims for SK Light title at Stafford

In just two seasons, Monson, MA native Dan Wesson has quickly established himself as one of the drivers to watch in Stafford Speedway’s SK Light division.  Wesson graduated from the Wild Thing Karts in 2015 where he scored over 40 total feature wins and a championship in the Junior Outlaw division. He quickly showed that he could carry his winning ways over to the SK Light division with 3 feature wins during his rookie season.  The 2016 season saw him score 5 SK Light feature wins behind the wheel of his #92 Competitive Edge Coatings machine, second only to Tony Membrino, Jr.’s 7 wins.  Despite missing 4 races last season, Wesson finished 7th in the points standings and is ready to be a championship contender in his third season of SK Light competition. Ryan Preece scores first victory on the MTS Tour at Madog

Ryan Preece driving the TS Haulers, Ed Partridge owned #6 scored the first victory on the MTS schudle for 2017 on Saturday 4/22. It only took 14 laps for Preece to come from his fifth place starting position and overhaul race leader Richard Savary. From that point on Preece set a blistering pace  running all 125 laps without a caution flag. Continue reading

Could another classic finish be In store for PASS return to Oxford on Sunday?

Maine race fans wait is finally over as short track racing returns this Sunday afternoon to Oxford Plains Speedway.  The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models will make their first stop of the season in Maine this weekend in the Speedway Homes 150. If last year’s PASS action at Oxford Plains Speedway is any indication, fans might be in store for another “instant” classic.  As a matter of fact, fans were treated to three of the most memorable finishes in series history in 2016 at Oxford Plains. It all started a year ago in the 2016 Speedway Homes 150.

First paint schemes unveiled for Busch North Throwback at Thompson

NASCAR's fourth tier series gets the 2016 season off and running this Sunday, Feb. 14 at NSS in Flriday.

NASCAR’s fourth tier series will make an appearance at TMSP on Saturday, July 8 as The Busch North Series Throwback.

With the unveiling of their 2017 short track schedule in December, Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) Officials announced the return of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. The event will be a celebration of the series’ New England roots and the rich history of the division with the Busch North Throwback 100 on Saturday, July 8.
