Final PASS Tour tune-up at Oxford Plains for the Oxford 250 is set for this Sunday
- Every Late Model driver in the northeast would like to have a Oxford 250 win on his resume. Over 50 plus drivers will be vying for that coveted checkered flag in the 43nd Annual event
With the 43rd Annual HP Hood Oxford 250 just a month away, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model teams will have one more opportunity to prepare at Oxford Plains Speedway with this Sunday afternoon’s HP Hood 150. Over 50 teams have pre-entered for the HP Hood Oxford 250 to date and, with over 70 teams expected for the biggest and most prestigious Super Late Model race in the North America, track time at Oxford Plains will be at a premium. In addition, a full slate of local action will be on tap Saturday night at Oxford Plains Speedway, featuring the Budweiser Super Late Models, with an additional practice scheduled for the headline division to give teams as much track time as possible.

With 31 cars racing on the shortest track on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship schedule – divided into three classes, all three lapping at different speeds – there was no question the two-hour, 40-minute Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut would be action-packed.

Weather problems turn Monadnock Speedway into a two day show
This past weekend, Monadnock Speeway hosted the Dunleavy Truck & Repair 200 featuring the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour where Timmy Solomito celebrated his first victory at the high banked ¼ mile. Mother nature forced the event to become a two-day show as storms moved into the area after three of the Monadnock Speedway divisions were completed. The decision was made NASCAR and speedway management to run the NASCAR Whelen Modified event along with the remainder of the speedway’s divisions on Sunday afternoon.
Lee USA Speedway results
The Valenti Modified Racing Series rolled into town for the first of two 2016 appearances at “New Hampshire’s Center of Speed” Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, with Jon McKennedy of E. Chelmsford, MA and Chris Pasteryak of Preston, CT taking down the wins in the twin 50-lap feature events. McKennedy took the checkers ahead of Todd Patnode, Richard Savary, Mike Willis, Jr., Anthony Nocella, Dave Schneider, Geoff Gernhard, Donnie Lashua, Todd Szegedy, and Rob Richardi, Jr. in the first 50, while Pasteryak beat McKennedy, Nocella, Jeff Gallup, Savary, Schneider, Matt Mead, Patnode, Richardi, and Russ Hersey in the nightcap. Joey Pole in the process of trying to win his first PASS Tour feature event waged a hot contest with six time PASS Super Late Model Champion Johnny Clark and came home the victor at White Mountain Motor Sports Park in No.Woodstock, NH.
