Monster Energy Super Cross returns to Gillette Stadium after a long absence on Sat., April 23

Coming this way to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough is the Monster Energy Supercross. There will be high-octane action on the track as well as a unique experience in the Pit Party starting at 9 am and runs until 3 p.m.  It all starts next Saturday, April 23, 2016 with the main event set for 3:30 p.m.with open practice and qualifying earlier in the day.

 

Are you ready for the long awaited return to New England by the Monster Energy Supercross race in Foxborough after a long absence?  Not only will you see the world’s best motorcycle riders in  action on that improvised dirt track, you’ll be treated to a unique experience during the Monster Energy Supercross late in the afternoon.

 

In addition there will be an exhibition of B J Baldwin and Casey Currie, two of the best in the business, who will be on hand to tear up the drifting exhibition right by the Monster Energy zone. The four-wheeled monster trucks and their drivers will take center stage several times throughout the day.  So don’t be alarmed when you see stacks of smoke billowing from just outside of Gillette Stadium.

 

The fun doesn’t stop there! The Unknown Industries Harley demo team will also hit the streets in the Monster Energy Pit Party, performing wheelies, drifts and other amazing tricks on stunning Harleys. Also Gronk himself will make a special appearance at the Monster Energy party deck.

 

To gain access into the Monster Energy Pit Party, just recycle any empty Monster Energy can at the pit entrance for your free admission from 9 am – 3 pm. You will also need a valid Saturday, April 23, 2016 ticket. Pit Passes are also available to purchase.

 

Discount coupons are available at any Speedway gas station location where you can pick up a can of Monster Energy drink and then recycle it at the pit entrance for your free admission to the Pit Party! Right now, Speedway has special pricing on cans of Monster Energy.  Also you can stop by any Shaw’s Super Market location and pick up a can of Monster Energy to recycle at the pit entrance for your free admission to the Pit Party,

 

In concert with all of that two-wheel excitement, you can stop by Bettencourt Honda-Suzuki on Friday afternoon, April 22 for the hourly give-a-ways. Also  on hand at the West Bridgewater dealership, on Routes 106 & 28, there will be an appearance by the Supercross Team of Suzuki riders such as Blake Baggett and Brook Tickle. Also making a visit to the Bettencourt dealership will be team Honda’s Cole Seely and Trey Canard.  They will be there from 6-7 pm.  Team Gieco Honda is also scheduled to appear there and include: Malcom Stewart Bubba Stewart’s brother), Justin Bogle, and R J Hampshire.

 

 

By the way the Motocross Outdoor National will be making a return to MotoX 338 in Southwick on Saturday, July, 9 after a two year’s absence.  Those same race teams that will be racing at Gillette Stadium next weekend will be heading for that venue..  That race was scratched two years ago when the promoters and their neighbor the  American Legion Post couldn’t agree on the land lease fee.  Now it appears that the two parties have mended the fence and happy days are here again for the motocross crowd now with two big national events in Massachusetts.

 

Seekonk Speedway will have a practice session for all divisions except SYRA Mini Cup cars today, Saturday, April 16, barring weather problems.  The third mile oval  is scheduled to open on Saturday, April 30 with a big car show in the  afternoon provided by the Mass Cruisers of Norfolk. Seekonk’s  racing season, with a NASCAR sanction, will get underway for 2016 on Sunday afternoon, May 1 at 1 pm featuring the Pro Stocks, Late Models, Street Stocks, Sport Trucks and the Spectator Drag Series.  Upcoming at the Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut is the Spring Sizzler which includes the second round of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on the weekend of April 22-24. Up at the Lee USA  Speedway the rescheduled ACT NH Governors Cup will be held on Sunday, April 24.
