Ron Bouchard’s Racing Museum

NASCAR star Kyle Larson will be at Motorsports 2016 at the Philadelphia Expo on Jan.22-25
One of NASCAR’s rising young stars is planning to be part of the Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2016 Fueled By Sunoco Race Fuels and Distributed by Insinger Performance Race Car and Trade Show. Kyle Larson, who almost earned his first career NASCAR Sprint Cup victory at Homestead, Florida in the final race of the season, will be on hand to meet fans, do an interview session and sign autographs. Fans will also have the opportunity to get an up close look at Larson’s Target Chevrolet NASCAR Sprint Cup car.

Sugar & Spice Restaurant partners with Devil’s Bowl Speedway
It’s not very often in Vermont that race cars are outside in December, but on Saturday, December 5, three of Devils Bowl Speedway’s fastest drivers and their race cars were out at the Sugar & Spice Restaurant and Gift Shop in Mendon to help honor the 10th anniversary of the award-winning landmark.
NASCAR’s Rising Stars recognized at Charlotte’s Convention Center
NASCAR’s global champions were honored at the Charlotte Convention Center.
Three young, rising stars received their first NASCAR championships, and four veteran drivers added to their already impressive resumes.
Stafford Motor Speedway announces its 2016 schedule
Stafford Motor Speedway is pleased to announce the 2016 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series schedule. The 2016 schedule will consist of 133 feature events spread over 22 race dates, kicking off with the 45th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler on April 22-24, and culminating with the 44th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Fall Final Weekend on October 1-2. Stafford’s SK Modifieds®, Late Models, SK Lights, Limited Late Models, and DARE Stocks will be joined by the U.S. Legend Cars on 14 of the 22 race dates. New for the 2016 season will be a pair of races for the Wild Thing Karts that race at Stafford on Monday nights. The Senior Champs division will hit the track on Friday, July 1 and the Junior Outlaw division will race on July 22.
NEMA closes out the 2015 season.
NEMA gathered last Saturday evening to honor its champions at the annual awards gala, hosted at the Best Western Crown Plaza in Marlborough, MA. Hundreds of competitors, crew, fans and their families gathered for the event. NEMA’s announcer, Pete Falconi, was the host for the evening, assisted by NEMA President, Russ Stoehr of Bridgewater.
Devil’s Bowl to wrap the 2015 season at the Annual Banquet of Champions on Sat., Jan.30.
Devil’s Bowl Speedway will officially wrap up the 2015 stock car racing season with the annual Banquet of Champions on Saturday, January 30, 2016. The event will again be hosted at the Holiday Inn Rutland-Killington in Rutland, Vt., and will feature top drivers from the asphalt 1/2-mile oval and the 3/10-mile dirt track. Continue reading
Racer and auto dealer Ron Bouchard passes

Ron Bouchard of Fitchburg passed away on Thursday. Bouchard is a former top Modified champion on the paved tracks. Ron won several track championships at Seekonk, Thompson and Stafford Speedways. Back in the ’80’s Bouchard was given an opportunity to race in the NASCAR Winston Cup circuit by Jack Beebe of Connecticut to race his car on that top circuit. Beebe replaced the retired Harry Gant, another top driver who also worked his way up the NASCAR ladder system. Following and during his retirement from racing, Ron Bouchard became one of the top auto dealership owners in central Massachusetts. His dealerships are in Fitchburg, Auburn, Groton and Lancaster that includes; Honda, Acura, Dodge and Kia franchises.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15th at St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St. in Fitchburg. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, 486 Clarendon St., in Fitchburg. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 14th, from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. in Fitchburg.
