Seekonk Speedway back in the NASCAR fold!

A press conference to officially announce that Seekonk Speedway has re-joined NASCAR as a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series member track for the 2015 season. On Tuesday, Feb. 17, 11 a.m. at the Clarion Hotel in Seekonk, MA.

On hand will be the Seekonk Speedway management along with Kenny Spencer Taunton who is the defending 2014 Seekonk Speedway champion. Also on hand will be Lenny Ellis the 2001 Seekonk Speedway NASCAR champion as well as Mike Brightman a Seekonk Speedway competitor.

Seekonk Speedway will become a NASCAR member track and feature NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly racing for the 2015 season.

This will be the first time Seekonk has been NASCAR sanctioned since 2005. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series is NASCAR’s national championship program for weekly short track auto racing.

The above individuals and a NASCAR representative will be available for one-on-one interviews following Seekonk’s ceremonial signing with NASCAR.

Seekonk Speedway (1710 Fall River Ave.) will be open and available to film b-roll and stand-ups following the announcement.
