The Tri-Track Open Modified Series finale at the Seekonk Speedway will close out the very busy 2017 season today, Saturday afternoon, Oct.28. Some 36 paved track Modified races, from four different touring series, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Valenti Modified Racing Series , Exit Reality Modified Tour Series and the Tri-Track Open Modified Series, created some of the best entertainment and interest for Modified fans in the current modern era. Big month of November on tap for PASS racers at Concord and Hickory

CHARLOTTE, NC (October 26) – Big race season is upon short track racing’s best as Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model racers prepare for two huge race weekends during the month of November in North Carolina.  The 15th Annual North-South Shootout will be up first at the tough, triangular Concord Speedway on Saturday afternoon, November 4.  And then, that will be followed by the most anticipated, revamped event in the country, the 12th Annual Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown 300 at Hickory Motor Speedway.  The MegaMeltdown will carry a winner’s purse of at least $15,000 to win and will be televised nationally on MAV TV.  And, best of all, both races will start during the warmth of the afternoon and feature major support division races to add to the fans race day experience. Cory DiMatteo wins R.A.D. Automachine SK Light Rookie of the Year Honors at Stafford Speedway

It's not very often that a driver like Tom Fearn can back up another  Late Model Championship after 18 years.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—For Farmington native Cory DiMatteo, the 2017 SK Light season at Stafford Speedway exceeded his expectations.  DiMatteo came to Stafford after racing Legend Cars and SK Lights at Waterford for an abbreviated schedule in 2016 and he not only came away with the R.A.D. Automachine Rookie of the Year award, but he won the championship as well, joining Michael Gervais, Jr., Matt Galko, and Jeremy Sorel as rookie SK Light drivers who also won the championship. Alexandra Fearn wins R.A.D. Automachine Ltd. Late Model Rookie of the Year at Stafford Speedway

It's not very often that a driver like Tom Fearn can back up another  Late Model Championship after 18 years.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—After racing in the DARE Stock division for 4 seasons, Alexandra Fearn made the move into the Limited Late Model division for the 2017 season.  Her rookie campaign was a season filled with ups and downs and her main rival for the R.A.D. Automachine Rookie of the Year title was her brother Ryan.  Alexandra’s season didn’t get off to the most promising of starts, but by the time the season had ended, the driver of the #12 SAFCO Foam Chevrolet had posted a win to go along with 7 top-5 and 14 top-10 finishes to clinch the R.A.D Automachine Rookie of the Year award and the $500 bonus that goes along with it. George Bessette, Jr. wins R.A.D. Automachine DARE Stock Rookie of the Year honors at Stafford Speedway

It's not very often that a driver like Tom Fearn can back up another  Late Model Championship after 18 years.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 2017 season at Stafford Motor Speedway, 14-year old Danbury native George Bessette, Jr. made the transition from Wild Thing Karts on Monday nights into the DARE Stock division.  After finishing second in the Junior Outlaw division points standings, in 2016, Bessette was confident he could make a successful transition to the DARE Stocks.  After racking up a win to go along with 9 top-5 and 15 top-10 finishes to take second in the final points standings, Bessette took home R.A.D. Automachine Rookie of the Year honors, which carries with it a $500 bonus. Continue reading

Drivers can now register their number for the 2018 season at Stafford Motor Speedway.  Number Registrations received before Dec. 15 are $35, all registrations after Dec. 15 are $50.

Rocco claims seventh Sk title after controversial finish handed out throughout Finale Weekend

WATERFORD, CT (October 22, 2017): It took every lap of the eighty-lap SK Modified feature before a champion would be crowned. After qualifying concluded Rocco took a slim 18-point lead over Ashway, RI’s Kyle James. Rocco all but dominated the SK division in 2017 by claiming nine wins, so James who started fifth on the field did everything he could have done to claim his first championship.
