More first time winners at Wiscasset Speedway

The NEMA Midgets paid a visit to the Wiscasset Speedway over the weekend.

Cheap live entertainment and lots of race cars makes Wiscasset Speedway a destination on Saturday nights
By  By  Ken Minott
Even though the 2017 season is headed into the homestretch, first-time winners continue to be crowned at Wiscasset Speedway, making it one of the most competitive seasons in recent memory. Saturday night three more drivers picked up their first victory of the season as Group 1 was in the house with action in the ServPro of Biddeford-Saco Prostocks, Super Streets, Thunder 4 Minis, and N.E.4-cylinder Pros. The flex race on the program was a 100 lap enduro.  Continue reading

News from the Capeway Rovers MotoX track in Middleboro, MA

Friend and fellow motocross racer Nick Pasquine had a bad fall while doing what he loves best, racing motocross last week in Maine. What started off as just another family day of racing turned into a personal crisis. When Nick had his crash he broke his back. This was followed by an ambulance ride to a local hospital, later an ambulance ride to Tufts medical center in Boston. Then, on Friday he had surgery.
In addition to the out-of-pocket costs associated with the medical procedures, his mother Amie has had to take time off from work to be there with her son, causing more financial burden. The cost of. treatment and expenses are certainly sure to be a challenge on the family, especially under the circumstances. We ask that you please take the time to donate anything you can to help make the burden a little easier on our friends the Pasquines.

Down to the wire: Mikitarian captures Speedbowl NEMA Lites victory

The two NEMA Midget Series ended the 2016 racing season at the TSMP's World Series of Stock Car Racing last weekend.

The NEMA  Lites saw Saturday night action at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl down on the Connecticut coast.

Ben Mikitarian fended off fellow competitor Jake Stergios in an epic battle that raged down to the final lap, in a three wide battle, that saw Mikitarian crossing the line first.  It was the third straight race at the New London Waterford Speedbowl that has come down to the winner being decided on the final lap.  It was Mikitarian’s second career, and also second win of the season, the first of which came at Star Speedway earlier this season.

It was another busy Saturday night at the Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, NH.

By Ryan Lawliss
Winchester, NH: The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series was back in action this past Saturday night with the season starting to wind down and the point’s battles heating up. The Sportsman modified’s would be doing twin 25 lap features for the 3rd and final time this season. A quick look at the points standing of the Sportsman Modified’s and you would see that going into the night’s action 18 points separated 6th place from 1st. Todd Patnode would enter the night 2nd in points and capture the win (his 2nd on the season) in the first 25 lap feature for the Sportsman Modified’s. Brian Chapin found himself 3rd in points entering the nights twin 25’s and took the win (his 3rd of the year) in feature #2 for the Sportsman Modified’s. Joel Monahan would take his 3rd trip to victory lane in the Super Stocks. While Kevin McKnight (Mini Stocks), Randy Rameau (Thunder Stocks), and Chloe Wright (Young Guns) all captured their first wins of the season. Continue reading
