Maybury Material Handling renews participation in Stafford Speedway Contingency Program

It's not very often that a driver like Tom Fearn can back up another  Late Model Championship after 18 years.

Stafford has been very successful in obtaining contingency  support from area business firms in the Connecticut Valley

 

Stafford Motor Speedway is proud to welcome Maybury Material Handling back to its family of contingency partners for the 2017 season.  For the second consecutive year Maybury will once again present a contingency bonus of $150 to each SK Modified® feature winner as well as a $125 bonus for each SK Light feature winner.  Maybury’s contingency bonus will bring the weekly SK Modified® winner’s check up to $1,700 and the SK Light winner’s to $550.

Duane Provost ready to defend limited Late Model Championship at Stafford

It's not very often that a driver like Tom Fearn can back up another  Late Model Championship after 18 years.

The 2017 racing season won’t be started until late April for the Spring sizzler but that does not impact plans for Duane Provost  who plans on strongly defending his Limited Late Model Championship at that 1/2 mile Connecticut track.

As he prepares to begin his 13th season of racing at Stafford Speedway, Palmer, MA native Duane Provost is busy going through his #88 Facchini Law Firm Chevrolet, replacing parts and pieces to get the car ready for the upcoming 2017 season at Stafford.  It’s been the same routine that Provost has followed for many years with one exception; he enters the 2017 season as the defending track champion in the Limited Late Model division.  Regardless of that fact, Provost says he is busy preparing his car just like he would any other year. The 2017 season is shaping up to be an exciting one for Ray Parent of Tiverton, RI. After winning the 2016 D. Anthony Vendetti Fall Classic at Seekonk Speedway in his No. 17 Ford Fusion Late Model, Parent decided it was time for a change of pace, with support from a new primary sponsor, Anytime Realty. Parent will be driving the No. 98 Ford Fusion Late Model for Don Parsons Racing and Anytime Realty in pursuit of a Divisional Championship at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Continue reading

Top drivers honored at two-night Devil Speedway Banquet of Champions

Only two more events remain on the Devil's Bowl  Speedway in W. Haven, VT which has been plagued with rain outs during the current 2016 season.

It took two nights for the paved and dirt track drivers at Devil’s Bowl Speedway to get their just rewards for their racing action at the 1/2 and 3/8ths mile ovals in southern Vermont during 2016..

Nine track champions crowned; John Bruno Award to Ron Proctor

  Devil’s Bowl Speedway officially draw the curtain on its 50th racing season during a two-night Banquet of Champions gala on February 3-4.   Ceremonies were held in the Grand Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Rutland-Killington in Rutland, Vt., honoring nine stock car racing champions, top drivers, and special award winners at two tracks at the West Haven, Vt., facility; well over 400 guests attended the weekend gatherings.
