Extra distance in the Mid-Season Stretch for all Stafford Motor Speedway divisions made the races more interesting

Adding extra distance to the Friday night races made it interesting at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Stafford Speedway returned to NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing action with the Mid-Season Stretch program on Friday, July 24th that saw each division race an extra two laps in distance.  The 24th was also an Ingersoll Rand contingency night with bonuses going to the winners of the SK Light, Limited Late Model, and DARE Stock features.  Ronnie Williams took his third win of the year in the SK Modified® feature, Tom Butler was a first time winner in the Late Model feature, D.J. Burnham scored his third win of the year in the SK Light feature, Andrew Hayes took down his third win of the season in the Limited Late Model feature, Frank L’Etoile, Jr. won for the second time this year in the DARE Stock feature, and Dana DiMatteo was a winner for the time this season in the Legend Cars feature.

Seekonk Speedway invites race fans to join them tonight, Saturday July 25, for the Brockton based Everett’s Auto Parts Night at the Route 6 oval.  It will be non-stop action with the Sport Trucks, Late Models, Street Stock Phil’s Propane Triple Crown Race #2 and the 100 Lap Everett’s Auto Parts Pro Stock Race. Radio station  WHJY will be on hand to give away Van Halen tickets. The Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to the State of Vermont for the first time in five years, Friday night, July 24, when the series competes for the first time at Fair Haven’s famed Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The series last race in the Green Mountain State was May 2010, at Barre’s Thunder Road Speedbowl. Continue reading

The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) resumes its 2015 championship chase this Saturday, July 25 at Oxford, ME’s Oxford Plains Speedway. The Oxford Plains 150 is the eighth on the ACT Tour’s 13-race schedule and their second visit of the season to the 3/8-mile oval. The event was previously scheduled for June 27 before being postponed.
