Milton Reads! March Events related to Dead Wake: Last Crossing of the Lusitania

In its annual literacy project, Milton Reads! encourages a town-wide reading of its 2016 book selection, Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania.  Here is a list of free related events open to the public.

March 15, 7 p.m.: The events phase of Milton Reads with a book discussion, led by Will Adamczyk to be held downstairs at the Milton Library, 476 Canton Avenue, Milton 02186.

Sunday, March 20, 5-7 p.m. the Annual Milton Reads Trivia Night takes place at Ester, a restaurant, located at 2261 Dorchester Avenue in Lower Mills in Dorchester.  Advance registration at the Library’s website is required for Trivia.

Monday, March 21 at 2pm, Fuller Village Senior Residence community, 1372 Brush Hill Road in Milton,  will host Boston University Professor William Keylor who will speak about world events leading up to World War I.

Wednesday, March 23, at 7pm, the National Geographic documentary “The Last Voyage of the Lusitania” will be screened at the Milton Library, 476 Canton Avenue in Milton.

Tuesday, March 29 at 7pm, Milton Reads “Closing Chapter” will feature Commandant David Kohnen, of the Naval War Academy in Newport, RI, who will talk about the military intelligence surrounding the sinking of the Lusitania.  The talk will be given at the Milton Library, lower level, 476 Canton Avenue, Milton 02186.
