Dec. 31: Dickens Carolers at the Milton Library

End the year on a festive musical note!  On Saturday, December 13th at 2 p.m. bring the family to enjoy a wonderful holiday concert by The Very Merry Dickens Carolers who will be dressed in traditional Victorian garb.  This fun group will entertain one and all with many of your favorite songs of the season. Come bring the kids and catch some holiday spirit! Free admission and everyone is welcome.

Dec. 15 – Free movie: Jersey Boys

Watch a great movie about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons!  On December 15, starting promptly at 6:30 PM, there will be a free showing of the recent film Jersey Boys.  Directed by Clint Eastwood, the film is a biopic about the musical group “The Four Seasons.”  It stars John Lloyd Young, Vincent Piazza and Christopher Walken.  The film is rated R for some language and is not suitable for children.

Dec. 9 – Film Critic Ty Burr on 2014 Best and Worst Movies

What were your favorite movies of the past year?  Find out if your choices jive with an expert!  On December 9 at 7 p.m.  TY BURR, local film critic for The Boston Globe will share “The Films of 2014: the Good, the Bad, and the Really Terrible.”  Find out his thoughts on this year’s movie winners and losers.  His best selling book, Gods Like Us, will be available for sale and personal signing.  Come to the Keys Community Room, lower level of the Milton Public Library, 476 Canton Avenue in Milton, MA 02186.  Admission is free and the event is sponsored by The Friends of the Milton Public Library.  Find out about other great events on the library’s website.
