By artist Abraham Salzman

During the month of August, the Milton Public Library will host artist Abraham Salzman, a Milton resident, in the Wotiz Gallery on the first floor, 476 Canton Avenue in Milton, MA.   Mr. Salzman was born in Cuba from Russian parents.  He has evolved his own brand of artwork into something he calls “Imaginary Expressionism.”  He uses poster paints, pastels, magic markers, crayons and other media tools to create colorful images with messages that have positive known thoughts to them.  They are incorporated with a surrealistic and dreamlike quality.  His Latin background is apparent in his use of strong colors.  A totem pole of faces often appears in his work created within a structure of color, shapes and texture.  Abraham has had his art exhibited in galleries in New York and Massachusetts.  His works are also in many private collections.
