Young Sherlock Holmes is  the next film in the Milton Reads series on Thursday, July 17. The free film will air at 6:30 p.m. in the Keys Community Room (lower level) of the Milton Library, 476 Canton Avenue in Milton.  This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Library and is part of the Milton Reads special events.

            Young Sherlock Holmes (1985) stars Nicholas Rowe, Alan Cox, and Sophie Ward, and was directed by Barry Levinson and produced by Steven Spielberg. It’s a murder mystery in which assorted people have inexplicable delusions that lead to their deaths. Teenage Sherlock Holmes and Watson decide to investigate. Rated PG-13.

This film series is part of 2014 Milton Reads, a townwide reading project to read The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, along with enjoying related events throughout the summer and fall.
