When the Valenti Modified Racing Series rolls into Monadnock Speedway on Saturday August 23rd, Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville, NY, fresh off another solid run last weekend where he wheeled Art Barry’s Spear Point Racing/Spafco #21 Modified to a third place finish, takes a 30-point lead in the series standings to the Winchester, NH, oval, for the annual ‘Victor Johnson Memorial 100,’ presented by Swanzey Oil.
Reigning Champion Rowan Pennink of Huntingdon Valley, PA, winner of the April race at Monadnock and currently nestled in second place in the standings, will enter the series final Monadnock appearance wheeling the Gary Casella Monk Mechanics Hand Cleaner #25. Pennink has two Monadnock wins.
Two-time series Champion Chris Pasteryak, of Lisbon, CT will enter his family owned Dawley Collision and Custom 5 CT. car
Woody Pitkat of Stafford Springs, CT had his car rebuilt after a crash at Waterford, CT, two weeks ago, returns in the Patterson Farm’s # 42.
Richard Savary of Canton, MA, winner of the July 5th race, will enter the Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists # 21.
Seekonk winner Norm Wrenn of Nashua, NH will enter the Advanced Gas Distributors # 53 in the 100 lap green-flag event.
Four drivers, who competed in the first series event eleven years ago, will attempt to qualify. All four bring a combined total of 57.
